I am a HPCSA registered counsellor passionate about helping others in their time of need. I strive to provide each person with a safe, non-judgmental space to explore their thoughts and feelings. Creating balance of thought is my main objective. I make use of the cognitive behavioral therapy methodology, where we learn to use the power of our thoughts to regulate our emotions, and in that space gain more control. Focus is placed on re-framing cognitive distortions (unhealthy thought patterns) in order to change how we feel and behave and therefore lead to healthier lives. This process creates the opportunity to learn a lot about yourself, develop communication skills, setting healthy boundaries and develop healthy coping skills.
